We are starting this post to have a journal of our bugging out project which Kelee and I stated earlier this fall. We purchased 2 fifth wheels, the reason for this is we have Kelee's daughter bunnylove living with us and was going to attend school in the area and there would have not been enough room to live comfortably in one especially with all the preps we have compiled. Unfortunately bunnylove did not like the area and decided to go back to our old area to finish school. This worked out to be beneficial to all of us. We have 2 fifth wheels one to travel and one as a home base which we need as like I said our preps would not fit in one unless we were to live some where else (lol). Bunnylove has moved back as I said and I've seen good change in her with her decision but that is another subject.

For this year we decided to locate our selves in a RV rental plot that will provide us with electricity but no running water or sewage. As of November 1st we are going to start with this adventure. We have started collecting plastic bottles to store water, in addition we have a water cooler, and purchase bottle water to drink. It's funny if we go anywhere that we can get fresh water we bring our containers and fill them, for example we stayed in a hotel last week and we filled all our bottle before we left the room. The reason we started doing this before lost our water is the water we currently have is not drinkable to us, it's just good for washing and dishes. The place has put a water system in but until they get rid of all the cast iron on the water line it will continue to come out brown tinge.

So far we have built a skirt around the 29 foot RV we call the Nash, I discussed this in the DIY section in more detail. we have extra sealed oil heaters to help the propane heater of the RV, we will plug all the sinks and the tub with stoppers to prevent water going into the pipes and sewage storage, Kelee is sewing heavy curtains for the window as well as the windows of the Nash have storm windows that go on to help insulate, we can get water from the lake to wash with and do dishes and for now we are going to use disposable dishes to lighten the amount of water needed to do dishes. We do know this will add to the land fill but until we figure out or water availability and use this is what decided. For potty time we seen on line where people use a bucket with a foam ring, a bag to catch the waste, so we have brain stormed to where we store our kitty litter in the bottom of the buckets for weight and in case of a spill, plus we are going to add some kitty litter to our own bags before we go to absorb the liquids. The waste will be brought to our landfill the same as the kitty litter.  So this is our progress so far and suggestion to our  adventure to help out would be appreciated. Both Kelee and I will continue to post our progress for everyone to see and help us as we go. We are on our way south to visit family for the next 3 weeks and hunting with good friend Zeeker and don't know how much internet access we will have but will make very effort to continue to post during this time. We are taking the 27 foot RV we call the Terry and in the DIY section I will be talking about living off the grid completely for 2 week as I have set up solar panels with a double battery system.

Keep us informed as the winter moves in; it can get pretty cold there...
